Hi Ian, In your testimony you spoke about Hell, the outer darkness, and feeling terrified and cornered by other people who seemed to hate you - this is an experience others have reported having. Another version of a 'Hell' experience seems far, far worse and that is burning in fire and being tormented by demons for eternity. Obviously we all need to get straight the true nature of Hell to warn others, especially in my own case as my Dad has a terminal illness, and as far as I know is unsaved, so could you please let me know what you believe about 'Hell', and the unbelievers fate. In my experience Hell { Hades } was a place of complete darkness { Acts 26: 18 } and the bible tells us that in the Final Judgement that Death & Hades { Hell } will be thrown into a Lake of Fire { Rev 20: 14 } I was not shown the Lake of Fire and to my knowledge no one has been thrown into that lake of fire as Jesus has not yet returned in His Second Coming. And sadly for all those who have not repented of their sins and asked Jesus into their hearts they will be judged and the unbelievers will be cast into the Lake that burns with Fire & Brimstone , which is the second death { Rev 21: 8 }
So my understanding from the scriptures is that the sinners who die with out receiving the Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour will be held in darkness { Hell / Hades } until the Day of Judgement { Jude 1 : 6 - 7 } when they will be cast into the punishment of Eternal Fire.
The best thing is to pray for your dad and to Love him and forgive him ... Love is the Key to seeing people saved { John 3: 16 - 17 } ... not fear ... Perfect Love castes out all fear { 1 John 4: 18 }

You speak of spiritual warfare on this web site. As christians can we expect to be under attack all our lives or does a time come when that will cease? I have experienced a lot of this in the past, but I am no longer afraid. Are things improving because I am calling on christ without fear in the most frighting of situations. I am tying to face this head on. This has not stoped but it feels like the enemy is trying different methods to stop me trying to save souls. I thank you for your testimony it is a powerful tool. I have even found of late that the enemy tries to get to the person I am trying to inform instead of me. Can you give us any useful advice. As i know the enemy really hates me

Spiritual warfare is a key part to a Christians walk with God as we fight not against flesh and blood but the forces of darkness & evil { 2 Cor 10: 3 - 6 }. And so the scriptures tell us to put on the full armour of God and to stand firm in Jesus Christ { Eph 6: 10 - 20 }. When will the battle cease ? when we get to heaven. I have found these passages in the bible also very helpful { 1 Peter 5: 6 - 10 } The key is to remain humble before God & mankind casting all your cares upon Jesus. And not to give the enemy of our souls a foothold { Eph 4: 26 - 27 } but to expose the works of darkness in our lives so that they become light { Eph 5: 7 - 13 } always try and keep a clear conscience before God & Man { Acts 24: 14 - 16 }. We are resist the devil and we are also to realise that there are many other brothers & sisters in Christ who are in the world who are having to do this. And the God of Grace who has called us to be with His Son Jesus Christ in Eternal Glory will Himself PERFECT, CONFIRM, STRENGTHEN & ESTABLISH YOU.
Another key to warfare is LOVE ... Perfect love castes out ALL FEAR { 1 John 4: 18 - 19 }
As for the enemy getting to those we are trying to save ... this is a common strategy and so we need to pray for them and take authority of the forces of darkness .. to bind them in Jesus name { Matt 16 : 19 } & release the Holy Spirit to do the work of conviction of sin. { John 16: 8 }
We can also pray for their family & best friends to be saved ... this is so amazing to see how when some one resists the Lord God is able to save those around them.
Prayer is so important and it really move the heart & hand of God to do miracles.
Love God .. Love people and they will know that you are truly a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Dear Ian, I am 19 years old, and I am a reborn christian from the Netherlands. I saw your dvd (that I orderd) today. And must say, it really toucht my heart. My father just died (more than 4 weeks ago). He wasn't a real christian in a way that he would go to church. But he ones said to me that he believed in Jesus when I asked him. But other times he tought that I am crazy because I believe so much in the Lord. Anyway, its hurting me, to think that he maybe is in hell. But I know that its either way in God's hands now. My question for you Ian is, When you had your experience in that dark place, hell. You heart voices, or one voice speaking to you. Do you think that was another human soul that spoke to you or an evil demon or something. I hope, that I can share your dvd with my familliy and friends and that your story may touch there hearts trough Jesus. I am sure going to pray for this. Sorry, My english isn't so good. Sorry to hear your dad has just passed away. And the fact that your dad acknowledged that he believed in Jesus is awesome { Romans 10 : 13 } Those who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
And to answer your question I believe the voices that I heard in Hades { Hell } were I felt human voices. People who had died and were judged and were being held in Hades until the day of Judgement. You wouldn't want your worst enemy to go there.
{ Ps 31: 17 } The scriptures tell us that there will be silence in Sheol .... they have nothing to really talk about. { Ps 94 : 17 }

How do you know your experience was real? Isn't there a possibility it could have been your brain playing tricks on you, as a result of the trauma?
Answer: Dear Derek,
Medically I was pronounced dead { heart & brain dead } .... so it was impossible for this expereince to have taken place in my mind. If I have been in a coma { Near Death } then yes it could have definitely been some thing that took place in my mind with the trauma.
But I know after 26 years of following the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Lord & Saviour that He is very much alive and saves & heals today. It is incredible to know His tangible Love in my life and to see Him touch people on a daily basis.
When I read the bible and see the relevence it has to every day life is amazing ... His word is truth and Jesus clearly said He was the Way the Truth & the Life and that no one comes to the Heavenly Father but through Him.{ John 14 : 6 } And that Jesus is the Resurrection & the Life and those who believe in Him will live even though their physically bodies die. { John 11: 25 - 26 }

Dear Ian, My name is Dana Babicova and I am from Slovakia. Yesterday I saw your testimony. It seems to me great and as I have opportunity to ask you questions about your experiences I would like to know the answer to this question: You said that your body in the heaven was see-through because it was your spirit and you are right that the Ecclesiastes 12,7 says that the spirit returns to God. What is not understandable for me is the verse 1Thessalonians 4,16 which says that the death will rise first. Who, or what will rise if the body, I mean our physical body, will be just dust. Who will Jesus call for if ,after death, you are immediately in heaven? Or to make my complicated question more clear, who or what is in the heaven, who or what is in the grave? Jesus also said that Lazarus was sleepin when He was talking about his death. Who was sleeping if his spirit was in the heaven. Answer: Dear Dana, Thanks for your questions. I will try and answer them. When we die the scriptures tell us that our spirit leaves our body and our body returns to the earth as dust.{ Ecc 12 : 7 } New testament tell is in { 2 Cor 5: 6 - 8 } absent from the body is to be Present with the Lord. Jesus said to the thief on the cross { Luke 23 : 43 } today you shall be with me in Paradise.It is very clear that when we die we go to be with the Lord in the new heavens & new earth. With this term sleeping .... it is very interesting ... before the cross when people died like Lazarus they were held in a place called Abraham Bosom { Luke 16 : 22 } so their souls/ spirit where in this place. When Jesus died he descended into Hell { Hades } and took back from Satan the keys of death & Hades { Rev 1: 18 } and brought the people who where in Abrahams Bosom out of this place { Eph 4: 8 - 10 } they then entered their bodies and the dead saints of old were seen walking around Jerusalem and then Jesus took them up into Heaven { Matt 27 : 52 - 52 } So here we see mentioned that many of the BODIES of the SAINTS that had FALLEN ASLEEP were raised from the DEAD ....It was the bodies of the saints that were asleep not their souls/spirit ...{ 1 Thess 4 : 16 - 17 } tells us when Jesus returns in His second coming that those who have FALLEN ASLEEP { their bodies } shall rise first .. they are also called here the DEAD in Christ. Those who are alive will be caught up into the air and meet the Lord.We shall of course all be changed in a twinkling of an eye { 1 Cor 15 : 52 } and our bodies will now be in a heavenly form { 1 Cor 15 : 42 - 47 } Heavenly bodies.Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God { 1 Cor 15: 50 } so when we die our spirit/soul goes to be with the Lord if you are a Christian and have Jesus as your personal Lord & Saviour.And when Jesus returns in His Second Coming to Judge the world our physical bodies will raise from the dead and join our spiritual bodies.Those who are still alive on the earth that know the Lord will be caught up into the air and changed in a twinkling of an eye as their bodies and spirit are brought up to be with the Lord for all eternity.Amazing ... the sting of death is sin { 1 Cor 15: 56 } ... but the free gift of God to those who repent of their sins is Eternal Life.
